Autumn Colour - Week 3

This week was our third and final Family Autumn Colour art session, in association with The Big Draw. Those who joined us in previous weeks finished activities including inky trees, atmospheric sunsets and dynamic fireworks in coloured pastel.

We also tried a new Halloween-themed wax resist picture - a spooky sider web! It was great fun experimenting with washes and splashes of watercolour to give the effect of a moody sky behind.

There was just time at the end to try a group monster drawing activity, based on the Surrealist game of ‘Exquisite Corpse’. Together we drew very scary creatures…far too frightening to show you here….!

Thank you to Speldiburn, to The Big Draw, and to all the young artists who took part!
